Understand Our Handyman Rates

- First Hour: $120
- Each Additional Hour: $85
Budget for the first hour first. This covers travel and the initial setup. Then add hours for more tasks. Combine your small jobs into one visit. This saves you money. Check your list now. Group your repairs together then call us.
Drywall Repair: Patch or Replace?
Walls get damaged. Furniture hits corners. Moisture causes soft spots. Look at your wall now. Identify the damage size.
Small Holes
Small holes come from nails or screws. You can patch these. Use a small putty knife. Apply spackle then sand. Repeat the process.
Medium Holes
Medium holes come from doorknobs. These need a mesh patch. Stick the patch over the hole. Apply joint compound over the mesh. Feather the edges out. Let it dry then sand. Apply a second coat. Paint to match.
Large Damage
Large damage requires a new piece of drywall. Cut out the broken section. Create a square hole. Add wood backing to the studs. Screw in a new drywall piece. Tape the seams. Apply three coats of mud. Sand between coats then prime.

Faucet Installation and Leaks
Leaky faucets waste water. They increase your bill. Fix them fast.
Faucet Repair
Check the handle first. Tighten the set screw. If it drips, replace the cartridge. Turn off the water valves under the sink. Remove the handle then pull the cartridge. Take the old part to the store. Buy an exact match then install.
Faucet Replacement
Old faucets look dated. Buy a new fixture. Clear the space under your sink. Disconnect the supply lines. Loosen the mounting nuts. Pull the old faucet up. Clean the sink surface. Place the new faucet in the holes. Tighten the nuts then reconnect lines. Test for leaks immediately.

Door and Lock Maintenance
Doors should move smoothly. Do not force a stuck door.
Hinges
Check the screws. Loose screws cause sagging. Tighten them with a screwdriver. If the hole is stripped, use a wooden plug. Add glue then tap the plug in. Re-drill the hole then screw.
Latches
The latch must hit the strike plate. If it misses, adjust the plate. Move it up or down. File the metal if the gap is small.
Locks
Old locks stick. Use graphite lubricant. Spray it into the keyhole. Turn the key several times. If it still sticks, replace the lock. We serve Burnaby and Richmond for door repairs.

TV Mounting
Find the studs. Use a stud finder. Mark the locations. Level the mount. Drill pilot holes. Bolt the mount to the wall. Hang the TV then secure the safety screws. Hide the wires for a clean look. Use a wire track or in-wall kit.
Smart Home Setup
Smart thermostats save energy. Smart doorbells add security.

Open your window. Place the kit in the track. Expand the kit to fit the width. Secure it with screws or tape. Attach the exhaust hose to the kit. Plug in the unit. Do not use an extension cord.
Maintenance
